Altcoin Market - Alt Season Paused - What now?Everything is bleeding. The world is ending.
Facts:
1. Many alts are still up significantly from their yearly lows.
2. Many alts had massive runs and you should have taken some profit.
If you take into account principles in trading and technical analysis, you'll allow yourself to remove all the emotion and keep a steady eye on the bigger picture which is what I aim to do here. I'm using basically two tools in this video:
1. Fibonacci - in a reverse fashion, measuring a bear market to determine where the next bul market can go. It worked fairly well for the last bear/bull cycle, so I am applying the same principle for this same bear/bull cycle - giving me a target (conservative) at 1.56T - an aggressive target would be ~1.91T but that is not my primary target.
2. Trend-Based Fibonacci Extension - I measured a few different pivots in the 2023/2024 cycle to determine some upside targets and I kept arriving at 1.48-1.57T as targets for extended moves.
Are there targets beyond that? Absolutely. Am I ready to share those now? Not unless I want a repeat of the ridicule I faced for suggesting that BTC would break out of the 60k region just a few weeks back. I’m not here to chase every micro move in crypto. My focus is on the broader bull cycle we’re riding, and my goal is to make the most of it.

I expect it to retrace somewhere in the 850-900b range and consolidate there above the previous high of about 800b

TOTAL3 DEC2025/JAN2026 PEAK?I've deep dived into ETH, BTC, BTC DOMINANCE and TOTAL 3 (EXCLUDING BTC & ETH) to try and find this cycle peak. All of which follow a specific pattern and trend, and it all seems to be pointing to a December 2025 peak or a January 2026 peak, depending how you draw it.

The market is sitting in the last push (which can be the largest)
But this type of price-action and volatility goes both ways.
A chart never just moves up without printing hh's and hl's.
A chart has structure, and makes sense.
Total3 tapped below the 1trillion.. after spiking to new ATHs.
I see it go higher from this clean demand area later this week.

I did spot this much earlier which allowed me to get more aggressive on alts earlier - in reality I added and this chart also with BTC making similar set up encouraged me to not dump my alts at the low when many capitulated right before the market took off.
Just sharing the draw to spread the education and a good example of a cup and handle and where do you position the target. In this case on the break out line which had a capping descending grind line acting as a signal to buyers. You can see the larger volume green candle coming in to play as confirmation that the alt season was well under way.
Also when this happened many alts made an Asc triangle confirming upside direction in the next cycle I hope this helps people know when to add into alts. I suspect some bullish chart pattern will develop and until the capping trend line is broken the volume does not really come in
So now maybe the Alt bull run may be truncated because initial targets are all ready been hit and we are no into over performance - I hope not but we must be careful to lose any money but equally careful not to leave too much on the table. A normal crypto bull alt cycle we would expect to close out late summer 2025. With equities being so over valued maybe its early this cycle, watch careful after 20 Jan when Trump takes office. Watch careful after 1st qtr as many tax returns are done then in other countries and lets hope it runs 10x until next summer and we all get rich! sounds too good and too easy to be true!

Alt scenario guess from here This here is a variation of my last but just on the daily instead and another wishful thinking price scenario guess for the altcoins from here. Came up with this scenario guess by using an amalgamation of different ta principles i picked up here and there like described on last chart mixed with a little bit of just intuition guessing, moon cycle theories, and real world time events. Could be totally wrong, not an expert, just throwing my guess based on my level of knowledge, just in case it turns out to be spot on.

Organic growth of the market includes these types of pullbacks as we all know
Dollar Cost Averaging into these pullbacks could be a good strategy long term
However considering we are at historical lows of the altcoins market i wouldn't allocate to much dollars aside for DCA-ing right now (maybe around 10-15%) of my total portfolio. Or less.

What If (Fractal from 2020)I copied a similar fractal from August of 2020 through the last bull market.
This looks like an appropriate total 3 market cap for this cycle. I expect the total market cap to be around 7 to 9 trillion by the end of the cycle.

The Total3 index currently shows that the pumping of altcoins through withdrawals is clearly detectable by the big players. You have to keep in mind that retail traders haven't entered the market yet, and I see only another $200 billion needed for this move. I expect there won't be much range for movement, so we'll likely see a strong correction for buying at around $800 billion, followed by a new peak at $1.34 trillion. After that, there will be a major correction due to the big players offloading their positions.
