Gold Analysis November 19Fundamental Analysis
Gold prices attracted some safe-haven flows after posting its biggest weekly decline in more than three years last week and snapped a six-day losing streak on Monday amid rising geopolitical tensions. In addition, falling US Treasury yields prompted some profit-taking in the US Dollar (USD) following its post-US election rally to fresh yearly highs and turned out to be another factor in favour of the non-yielding yellow metal.
USD bulls remained on the defensive in Asian trade on Tuesday, supporting Gold’s further recovery from a two-month low touched last Thursday. Meanwhile, expectations that US President-elect Donald Trump’s policies will reignite inflationary pressures and limit the scope for further rate cuts by the Federal Reserve (Fed). This will keep US bond yields high and benefit USD speculators, which could limit XAU/USD
Technical Analysis
The technical resistance level of 2624 that Gold is facing will be very important in today's European trading session, the uptrend is relatively strong and there has not been much recovery in price. The 2595 zone is considered the target of all the downtrends today. The 2648-2650 zone is the main resistance zone today. In a strong uptrend, you should prioritize BUY signals at 2615 at old breakout points to have the best strategy for yourself.
Gold wants to hit resistance read the caption Gold’s negative correlation with the USD seems to be in full swing over the past week, as gold’s price practically retreat until Friday, while as the current week started gold’s price seems to have regained its confidence to climb higher. On the flip side USD bulls dominated the greenback’s direction over the past week, while they took a break as the week begun allowing for gold’s price to rise. Overall we see the case for the negative correlation
Gold nonstop buy get out from sell read the caption However, the resurgence of the geopolitical factor, precisely from the Russia-Ukraine war, seems to be mostly behind the wake-up call in the metal, particularly after Biden’s administration “authorised” Ukraine to use US-made weapons to strike Russian territory.
Moving forward, it should be a week dominated by data releases surrounding the real economy worldwide, where the publication of preliminary PMIs is expected to take centre stage. In addition, opinions from central bank officials are also seen keeping investors
Filling the gap and returning to the main path. After the rapid movement of the price from 2708 and going down and breaking the level of 2605, the price made a correction in the direction of filling the gap of the market towards the level of 2653 by reaching the range of 2545 and it is expected that after the gap is filled and the distance between the market and the collision With the trend line and reaching the range of 2676-2655, the expectation is to return to its downward path.
EURGBPEURGBP weekly chart shows that the price is approaching a strong support zone of 0.83088-0.82346. If the price fails to break through the 0.82226 level, a rebound is likely. Consider buying in the red zone.

USD CAD Live AnalysisThe USDCAD price traded with clear negativity yesterday to break the minor support 1.4025$ and settle below it, to head towards potential test to the bullish channel’s support line around 1.3960$, making the bearish bias expected in the upcoming sessions, noting that this decline is temporary, waiting to resume the main bullish trend again after testing the mentioned support.
On the other hand, we should note that breaching 1.4025$ will stop the expected decline and lead the price to resume the main bullish wave again.
The expected trading range for today is between 1.3960$ support and 1.4080$ resistance
Trend forecast: Bearish temporarily
The yellow precious metal recovered as the USD weakened. The yellow precious metal recovered as the USD weakened. The DXY index measuring the greenback's strength fell to 106.21 points. However, US Treasury bond yields continue to rise, leading many experts to limit gold's gains.
According to analyst James Hyerczyk at FX Empire, the gold recovery occurred when the USD temporarily paused below its highest level in a recent year, making gold more attractive to investors who do not use it. Use USD.
Hyerczyk emphasized that the 2,604.39 resistance mark is “an important technical level” that traders are watching closely. “If this level is sustained, the price could rally sharply, towards the 50-day moving average at 2,653.63 and the retracement zone from 2,663.51 to 2,693.40,” he said. However, Hyerczyk warns that if there is renewed selling pressure at higher levels, this could indicate continued downward pressure on gold prices.
Conversely, he said a fall in gold prices below 2,536.85 would signal weakness and the potential for a deeper decline towards the 200-day moving average at 2,403.46. He also added that traders will closely monitor comments from Fed officials this week for a clearer view of monetary policy. “Upcoming US economic data, such as housing and manufacturing reports, will also influence the direction of gold prices,” he said.
